Right after the first class of graduating students from HCE walked across the stage in Alumni Stadium and received their diplomas, I was off to North Carolina for the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) Research & Education Conference! It was an excellent opportunity to network with other environmental engineering faculty and students, and talk about the latest research, teaching ideas, and state of the field. Thanks to Duke University and the other North Carolina institutions for hosting over 1000 conference attendees - the largest AEESP yet! I came back with so many wonderful ideas for teaching and research.聽
