Zine Magubane
Zine Magubane is a Professor of Sociology at Boston College; she holds a courtesy appointment in the department of African and African Diaspora studies. Her areas of specialization include social theory, sociology of post-coloniality, race and ethnicity, globalization, race and popular culture, gender and sexuality, and the sociology of African societies.听Professor Magubane is the author of Bringing the Empire Home: Race, Gender and Class in Britain and Colonial South Africa (University of Chicago Press, 2004). Her work has appeared in Signs, Gender and Society, and Critical Sociology.听Her newest book, Another Sociology is Possible: Slavery, Colonialism and the (Re)Making of the Classical Canon, is forthcoming from the University of Chicago Press.听Professor Magubane completed her MA and PhD in Sociology at Harvard University.

Lindsey O'Rourke
Lindsey O鈥橰ourke is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Boston College. She earned her PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago. Her research and teaching focuses on international security, military analysis, and U.S. foreign policy. At Boston College, she teaches The World Wars, a class investigating the causes, conduct, and consequences of each conflict. She is also the author of the award-winning book, Covert Regime Change: America鈥檚 Secret Cold War, and is currently writing a book on sphere of influence deals made by the great powers during World War II. Her work has appeared in International
Security, Security Studies, Foreign Affairs, and Foreign Policy. Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys playing piano, attending comedy shows, and spending time with her husband and two children.听

Robert Savage
Professor Savage is a member of the Boston College History Department and served as one of the directors of the university鈥檚 renowned Irish Studies program for over 15 years. He has degrees from Boston College and University College, Dublin. Savage teaches courses in Modern Irish, British, and Atlantic World History and courses in media, film, and propaganda. He has been awarded numerous Visiting Professorships and is an award-winning author who has published six books and numerous articles and chapters exploring contemporary Irish and British history.

Franziska Seraphim
Franziska Seraphim is Associate Professor of History at Boston College. She holds a PhD in modern Japanese History from Columbia University. She published War Memory and Social Politics in Japan, 1945-2005 with Harvard, and is currently working on Geographies of Justice under the Allied occupations of Japan and Germany in global contexts. She pays particular attention to how 鈥減lace鈥 shapes Japanese culture in continuous and fascinating ways. Prof. Seraphim has taught Japanese and Asian history at 91福利导航 on all levels since 2001; she also directs the Asian Studies Program.
